PLAY was the first opportunity for Dowel Jones to produce limited edition works that served functions outside of those explored through furniture and lighting. The work served as a statement – that although Dowel Jones are designers of various typical typologies, the pair are interested in how not only objects are made, but how we use them. Dowel Jones was invited by Boom Gallery to utilise their main gallery space however weliked, and we decided to allow participants to play.

Works included Rocky Bilbao, Tilda Swington, Climbin & Garfunkel, Sir Benchaman Burly, Sir Burly, and Curley Minogue.
